Turkish PM and South African Foreign Minister

Tayip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Turkey, has relied on junior Jewish antisemite Gilad Atzmon to kosherize his antisemitic sentiments.  David T on Harry’s Place gives us the full story.

And the South African Foreign Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, following the claim made by her deputy that Jewish money controls America, has helpfully reassured the world that “statements in support of anti-Semitism are not reflective of the South African foreign policy”.

  1. Brian Goldfarb Says:

    The President (of Turkey) continued:
“I did not target at all in any way the Israeli people, President Peres or Jewish people. To the contrary during the panels I attended both in lunch and tonight, I specificaly stressed that anti-Semitism is a crime against humanity,” Erdogan added in the press conference.

So that’s all right then. Atzmon and Shlaim are such thoroughtly respectable, highly acclaimed academic figures with such magnificent stature that the President of Turkey can safely cite them in the knowledge that he’s not being antisemitic.

Or not, as the case may be.

  2. fred Says:

Think about it, this indicates Erdogan may spend time perusing the most radical websites, which are the ones that carry Atzmon.

  3. Jacob Says:

Tayip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Turkey cited the “Jewish” antisemite Gilad Atzmon while launching his antisemitic tirade against Israel.

Once can’t shield oneself from charges of antisemitism by quoting similar comments by someone Jewish anymore than one excuse oneself from charges of murder in an honor killing because the family of the victim approved of the crime.

  4. Jacob Says:

    Correction:

“Once can’t shield oneself from charges of antisemitism…”

    Should read:

One can’t shield oneself from charges of antisemitism…
