I disagree that antisemitism is merely another racism to be equated with all other forms of racism. As Julie Birchill has pointed out, there are major differences between antisemitism and other forms of racism because in all other forms of racism, without exception, the object of the racism is considered inferior in every way, especially intellectually. In the case of Jews, the racism is one of fear and of alleged intellectual superiority. True, all forms of racism, including antisemitism, incorporate a fear of the alleged diseases spread by the subject of the hatred. Another difference, however, is that most, if not all, antisemites include hatred of Israel as a component of their antisemitism, while hatred of other ethnic minorities does not include their country of origin.
